I never planned to be a dowdy mother. In fact, I was going to wear my 3-inch heels in my house while doing my laundry and fixing dinner. Most of time, I do. While it might not be exactly 3 inch heels, but at least I look like I am about to go somewhere.
Yesterday was not one of those days. Time crept on me and totally caught me unaware. I wasn't sure what I was doing, but I think I had on my audio listening to Eragon. It's a great story BTW. It's like Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings put together. I hope the movie which I lined up on Netflix won't disappoint. I would have watched that movie when it came out, except that we only let my mother babysit our kids, and she's in Oklahoma.
Before I knew it, it was 3 PM, time to run my carpool. I still have my tank top from the night before, a cut off jeans which always falls off because I must have manage to lost weight even though I haven't quite joined the Weight Watchers like i wanted to. I think my shoes matched, maybe. Tamir is always trying to wear one of my shoes. I jumped in my car and started at one school. My kids are going to three different schools this year. They're so talented, that why:P
Before I could even pull out of the driveway, my husband thought it's a perfect day to walk our 4 miles at the mall. We got our kids and was on the way to the mall before I realized I wasn't exactly dress for company! My husband thought I was sexy (but then he's my husband, he's supposed to think I am sexy!).
We got the the mall, in my wonderful attired (NOT!). I was bothered by what I was wearing for all of 5 minutes, before I totally forgot about me because my baby decided he wants to walk too only he's not into straight route. Before trying to make sure I don't lost a child, and talking with my husband, and sneaking glances at the side views of my butts on store windows...I was too busy to care what I wore.
Yeah, some mothers are always nicely made up. Others are not always made up. I think I am somehwere in between...and I think I might be okay with that. Maybe.
That is the spirit! If I were a mom as well I would look like one of those socialites or A-list celebrities even at home. That's why I dont use the word housewife but homemaker lol!
